Age of Mythology: Retold has been out for a few months, but the gaming community is already wondering if there will be a mobile version.

The Retold version of the classic RTS is now available on Windows PCs and Xbox, and it can also be downloaded on Game Pass. However, it’s not officially out on any mobile platforms yet, and there are no known announcements that it will ever be.

On Reddit, though, it seems that gamers might want such a version. Although I can barely imagine how one could play such a complex game on such a tiny device, it seems there could be a demand for it.

Could Age of Mythology: Retold be released on Mobile devices?

Well, Age of Mythology: Retold is already getting a lot of new mods, features, capabilities, and even new difficulties. There is the free Arena of the Gods mod, the new Ludicrous difficulty setting, and an upcoming expansion.

So, as you can see, the studios behind the game are preparing dozens of surprises for the Age of Mythology: Retold community. Could a mobile version be included in the cards?

Well, everything is possible at this point. However, when I play Age of Mythology on my phone, I don’t really see it. The game is ultimately an RTS, with a focus on Strategy. So I do need to have my eyes everywhere, and sometimes even micro-manage certain creatures, such as the Medusa.

Can I do that on a phone or tablet? Well, yes, but it would be frustrating.

But hey, what do I know? If Reddit is already asking for mobile version of this classic game, then there is a demand for it. It would take away its charm, strategies, and overall playability, though. Not to mention, it would absolutely train your phone’s battery.
